What ERO found

The Education Review Office’s latest report on the college is a School Profile Report from 24 August 2022, setting out an evaluation focused on learning in Years 9 and 10. ERO described a strong and inclusive school culture, leadership that puts equity and excellence first, and teaching that attends to both ako (teaching and learning together) and hauora (wellbeing).

Its next steps were to build students’ ownership of their own learning, keep strengthening identity, belonging and high expectations for every student, and make better use of assessment information to track junior students’ progress and support those who need to catch up. ERO also reported on the college’s provision for international students the same month.

Enrolling

Students who live in the home zone have the right to enrol. The board adopted the current enrolment scheme and zone in 2021 to manage roll growth, and any places left for out-of-zone students are offered under that scheme, by ballot when there are more applicants than places. Out-of-zone applications for 2027 have closed.

Check your address against the zone boundary before you apply, and contact the school if your street sits near the edge.
