The Tauranga Historic Village centres on creating an atmosphere of an old style town. With a collection of original and replica buildings of Tauranga, strolling the cobbled streets of the village allows you to experience and feel what it was like to live many years ago.
These wonderful buildings show much character and personality. Over the years this wonderful place is now home 50 businesses including shops and community organizations. It is most definitely worth a visit. Come and see the grand buildings while perhaps shopping from a great selection of local art and gifts. Here you are able to find novelties that you are rarely to find elsewhere. Most of the products here that are for sale are homemade.
Around the back of the Historic Village is also a small walk that loops around and up onto the neighboring road. Here you walk through a bit of bush land that is full of chirping birds.
There are several unique venues and rooms available for hire for meetings and functions. The grounds can also be hired for special festival events, plus much more. If you are interested in such things, don’t hesitate to contact the wonderful people of the Historic Village.
The Village grounds are open 7 days a week. Entry is FREE.
